C.A.R.E Needs You!

We need volunteers who can spend at least four hours a week helping us with our efforts. Please attend a pet fair at our Maple Leaf Plaza location to see what is involved and determine if you'd be interested in signing up. If you are under 18 years of age, you will need a waiver signed by a parent/guardian. Student volunteers must be 16 years old minimum.

Here is a list of our volunteer jobs:

1. Transportation. Dogs & cats transported to and from pet fairs or vets; pick up animals from shelters; pick up of food from donation centers. We need people during weekday and weekend hours.

2. Help at pet fairs. Walk dogs, clean cages, set up and clean-up.

3. Help out with events. Contact us at 408-227-CARE for information or printout our Volunteer form, fill it out and mail it back or drop it by.

4. Be a foster home. Both our dog and cat programs need foster homes. What's involved? Opening your home to an animal in need, taking the animal to the vet for any needed care (C.A.R.E. pays the vet) and finding the animal a home either by attending pet fairs or interviewing people from your home.
